One or two more projects, and the saga Game of Thrones will likely claim the title of the series with the most spin-offs in history. Indeed, after The House of the Dragon (with season 3 coming very soon), A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (which we highly recommend), a theater play focused on the Mad King expected this summer, or even a series about Jon Snow (though currently on hold), there’s a movie that is now in preparation. Dates, casting, story—let's share everything you need to know about this new journey to Westeros.

A New History Lesson

Soon, the Realm of the Seven Kingdoms will hold no secrets for you. One project after another, the various production companies are busy covering the entirety of the history of Westeros and beyond.

around. And after telling us about the Targaryen succession wars in House of the Dragon, and their attempt to return to power in Game of Thrones (shout out to Daenerys, we appreciate the effort), this new project should focus on their rise to power and their conquest of the various kingdoms of the continent. Produced by Warner Bros, it will highlight the journey of Aegon, the first king of the Seven Kingdoms from the Targaryen dynasty.

A Grand Saga

The program features 3 Targaryens — both sisters and brothers as well as husbands and wives, you’re starting to get to know the family — riding on 3 dragons, including Balerion, aka the Black Terror, aka the biggest dragon ever seen. Together, they will set out to conquer Westeros from Dragonstone, to unite 6 of the 7 kingdoms located there. An epic tale, which should potentially be addressed in the form of a cinematic saga, in multiple episodes then. Expect entire castles reduced to ashes by dragons, massive battlefields, and above all, the creation of the one and only iron throne. For now, however, we won’t get too... Don't get too excited, because no information has been revealed about the director, the cast, or even a release date for production. Stay tuned for updates…
