The beginning of April was highlighted by an unmissable cinematic event: Reims Polar. From March 31 to April 5, the international crime film festival pulsed with screenings, exciting competitions, tributes, but most importantly, lively discussions and sharing moments with actors, directors, and screenwriters.

Two Films Earn Lots of Awards at This Year's Reims Polar Festival
This year, the jury was chaired by Emmanuelle Devos, along with Ophélie Bau, Mathieu Demy, Delphine Gleize, Thierry Klifa, Grégory Montel, and Alix Poisson. In total, about sixty films were showcased, but two feature films in competition achieved great success during this 6th edition of Reims Polar. The Japanese film Disaster by Yutaro Seki and Kentaro Hirase won the Grand Prix—the most coveted award—and also took home the Police Prize. On the other hand, the film Winter Of the Crow by Kasia Adamik received the Jury Prize as well as the Critics' Prize.

Three more highly regarded awards
Three other awards were given out during this festival. The Audience Award was won by the film Red Code Blue by Oskars Rupenheits, while the Fresh Blood Award went to Father by Tereza Nvotvá. It will hit theaters on May 20th. Eye Haïdara, Peter Dourountzis, Marc Ruchmann, Lawrence Valin, and Anja Verderosa were the jury members. The feature film Growing Down by Bálint Dániel Sós received the Fresh Blood Award from the Grand Est Young Jury. See you next year for another fabulous edition!
