This legendary actor from the Harry Potter movies is reprising his role in the series!

Almost two years ago now, HBO shook up the world of all Potterheads by announcing an entirely new series inspired by the Harry Potter universe. And while casting announcements have been pouring in over the past few weeks, each with its share of controversies, the latest one might just unite all the fans.

It's a very ambitious project that the streaming platform Max has embarked on by announcing a new series detailing the adventures of the most famous bespectacled wizard. And for good reason, Harry Potter consists of 7 books that fans absolutely know by heart, which must be respected to the letter, along with 8 highly appreciated films that will need to be at least matched, while avoiding being too similar or too different. A real challenge. To meet the challenge, the production company is bringing in the best possible names, not hesitating to recruit some actors already well-known to the saga's fans.


The return of a great professor

And yet again, Chourave, there's a brand new name announced for the professor team of Hogwarts. And, to the great delight of fans of the saga, it's a very familiar face. Indeed, Warwick Davis, who played the Professor Flitwick in the films, will definitely be back to portray the Charms professor.

And while we’re already excited to see him again in the famous scene of the " Wingardium Leviosa ", this time he will focus on just one single character. Because although he also portrayed the goblin Gripsec in the original version, this character will now be played by the actor Leigh Gill, according to early reports. Davis is gearing up for his grand return to the wizarding school, alongside John Lithgow (Albus Dumbledore), Paapa Essiedu (Severus Snape), Janet McTeer (Mine...(rva McGonagall) or even Nick Frost (Rubeus Hagrid).


Promising first images

On the side of young wizards, the list of actors is growing longer, with of course the Golden Trio, but also actors for Draco, Crabbe, Goyle, Dean Thomas, Neville, as well as Ginny and the Weasley twins revealed. Most of these names are unknown, and they were revealed along with the first images from the shoot. And one thing is for sure, even though these first images that have leaked online are dividing fans, we are super excited, and for one great reason: the aesthetics.

Indeed, while the films produced by David Heyman chose to ground the various installments in the 2000s, the series is going back to the basics, placing the story in the 90s, just like in the books. This news suggests a greater fidelity to the original source (which makes us super happy), but also some fabulous vintage costumes that we already love.
