How about a little more of the Cannes Film Festival? Good news, the ACID Replays Cannes 2025 are coming up very soon! What does this mean? You’ll get to enjoy unique screenings, premieres of feature films that were showcased at the festival last May. The events will take place in Paris, Marseille, Lyon, and Nantes. In the capital, it’s none other than the Cinema Palace, Louxor, that will welcome you from September 18 to 22, 2025, for nine unforgettable and exclusive screenings.

More than 30 years of existence
Every year since 1993, ACID — the Association of Independent Cinema for its Distribution — takes part in the Cannes International Film Festival and presents a fine selection of feature films, both fiction and documentaries, from the four corners of the globe. The goal? To give these independent works of the 7th Art the visibility they deserve and to find distributors so they can be screened in cinemas across France.
A rich and eclectic lineup
Get ready, because the lineup promises to be incredibly rich! The festivities will kick off on Thursday, September 18, 2025, with the screening at 8:30 PM of Life After Siham.
by Namir Abdel Messeeh, a poignant story of mourning set between Egypt and France. On Friday, September 19th, get ready for a completely different kind of film: at 7 PM, Entroncamento by Pedro Cabeleira will take us into a truly unique gangster story, while at 10 PM, Drunken Noodles by Lucio Castro will explore themes of love, desire, the body, and the ephemerality of things.On Saturday, September 20th at 4 PM, we’ll embark on a journey to Italy with L’Aventura by Sophie Letourneur. At 6:30 PM, Put Your Soul on Your Hand and Walk by Sepideh Farsi will be screened, a heartbreaking documentary capturing the war in Gaza through the eyes of a woman, Fatma Hassona. At 9:15 PM, the film Laurent dans le vent by Anton Balekdjian, Léo Couture, and Mattéo Eustachon will introduce us to a man in search of meaning.
Quite a variety of themes addressed
The Black Snake by Aurélien Vernhes-Lermusiaux. At 6:30 PM, Light Never Dies by Lauri-Matti Parppei will beautifully blend cinema and music.

To wrap things up beautifully, the film Dark Night - « Ain’t I a Child? » by Sylvain George will be screened on Monday, September 22 at 7 PM. It will showcase a black and white Paris, following the journey of young exiles just arriving in the capital. So, which screenings are you coming to ?
