Although the series project has been officially in the works at Lionsgate since April 2023, the production company revealed on Wednesday, March 6th, that this new reboot of Twilight will have a very unique twist.

Here's some news that will definitely get fans talking. While many were already excited about this new project of adaptation, Lionsgate has just revealed some information that might give some pause. Indeed, this new remake will take the form of an animated series!


Twilight, Still Going Strong

Hey there, it looks like Stephenie Meyer just can't seem to let go of Twilight. She started with 4 really long books, which then turned into 5 movies that were just as lengthy, released between 2008 and 2012. Then, in 2015, she surprised us with a new text for the saga's anniversary, where all the characters had their genders reversed, titled Life and Death. And who could forget about the highly anticipated Midnight Sun, published in 2020, retelling the story from Edward's perspective. But wait, there's more! In 2023, Meyer revealed she was working on two new literary projects linked to the Forks universe. And it seems she's not stopping there... Now she's also involved in the creation of the new series adaptation.
