It's official, the countdown has officially begun. Just a few days ago, HBO unveiled the first real trailer for its upcoming series, and to say the least, it promises great things. Whether good or bad remains to be seen, but great things nonetheless. And while the first season hasn't even been released yet — we're waiting for Christmas with more excitement for that than for the gifts — the second season casting is being revealed bit by bit, with a lovely surprise for fans.
Two very different roles
This Tuesday, September 15th, HBO announced a new wave of casting, this time dedicated to the second season
, who will therefore bring Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets to the screen. And a lovely surprise was hiding for fans, since the production announced the arrival on set of... Rafe Spall! Well yes, his name might not ring a bell, but he's the son of Timothy Spall, the actor who plays Peter Pettigrew (aka Wormtail, for those keeping up). And to say the least, his role will be as far removed as possible from his father's, since Rafe will bring to life Arthur Weasley. On one side, therefore, a treacherous creature of the worst kind, shining through his cowardice and betrayals, and on the other, the kindest, funniest and most caring dad of the entire saga.Voir cette publication sur Instagram
Two More Characters Revealed
In the same announcement, HBO unveiled two additional actors for the second season: Molly Hewitt-Richards, who will play Moaning Myrtle, and young Jasper Ambrose, who will portray Colin Creevey. You know, the one who's that Harry Potter fan constantly wandering around with his camera in the second installment. We just hope that the series will give him a role that better reflects his importance in the books than the film did… In the meantime, these three talented actors join Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout (the golden trio), as well as Paapa Essiedu (Professor Snape), John Lithgow (Dumbledore), Nick Frost (Hagrid), Janet McTeer (McGonagall), and Johnny Flynn (Lucius Malfoy). And oI can't yet wait to discover them all in these iconic roles.
