With over 1,450 seating spots in one of the most famous monuments in the world, the Cinéma Paradiso festival makes a big impact, really big, and is hosting for the fifth time a series of free outdoor screenings. It’s happening at the heart of the Louvre Museum, from July 2 to July 5, 2025.

The Louvre humbly calls it « the most beautiful ephemeral cinema hall in the world », and we can't really argue with that: this year again, four free screenings will be held in the Cour Carrée of the museum. The 5th edition of the Cinema Paradiso will take place from July 2 to 5 and will pay tribute to one of the greatest filmmakers in the history of cinema, a master of the strange and the dreamlike. 


Twin Peaks on a giant canvas 

You might have recognized it: after celebrating Italian cinema in 2023, it’s David Lynch, who sadly passed away from a heart attack last January, that will take the spotlight this new season. Mk2, the organizer of the event, will reveal the full program in June, but we already know that the prequel to Twin Peaks, the cult series from the 90s, will be among the works projected on a giant screen – 24 meters long, no less! – during the closing night on July 5. 


Concerts, food trucks, bar…  

Cinema Paradiso knows how to bring together a variety of ingredients to offer its guests a memorable evening in an exceptional setting. On the agenda, in addition to the "masterpieces of the seventh art projected on a giant screen outdoors […] prestigious guests, concerts, bars, food trucks, and surprises!", the organizers tease us. Before and after the movie, you can expect a series of DJ sets, a signature of the festival, to dance under the stars. 

So, how do you snag a spot among the 1,450 available seats? The official ticket sales will launch in June and will operate, in the interest of fairness, through a lottery system. So all you have to do now is cross your fingers while signing up for the pre-registration, here!
