The Louvre humbly calls it  the most beautiful ephemeral cinema in the world, and we can't really argue with that: once again this year, four free screenings will be organized in the Cour Carrée of the museum. The 5th edition of Cinema Paradiso will take place from July 2nd to 5th, paying tribute to one of the greatest filmmakers in the history of the seventh art, master of the strange and the dreamlike.

Twin Peaks on a giant canvas

You guessed it: after celebrating Italian cinema in 2023, it’s David Lynch, who sadly passed away from a heart attack last January, that will be in the spotlight for this new season. Mk2, the team behind the event, will unveil the full lineup in June, but we already know that the prequel to Twin Peaks, the iconic series from the '90s, will be among the works projected on a giant screen – 24 meters long, no less! – during the closing evening on July 5.

Concerts, food trucks, bar…

Cinema Paradiso knows how to gather a multitude of ingredients to offer its guests an unforgettable evening in an exceptional setting. On the agenda, in addition to the “masterpieces of the seventh art projected on a giant outdoor screen […] prestigious guests, concerts, bars, food trucks and surprises!” the organizers tease. Before and after the movie, get ready for a series of DJ sets, a festival signature, for dancing under the stars.

But how do you get a spot among the 1,450 available seats? The official ticket sales will kick off in June, and, in the spirit of fairness, it will be done by lottery. So all you have to do is keep your fingers crossed while signing up for pre-registration, at this link!
