14 years after the last installment of the saga, the return of Final Destination is just around the corner! Join us on May 14 in theaters to relive our traumas with surprising, gory twists, some of which have been teased in a mysterious and bloody trailer. 

Defective roller coaster, plane crash, collapsing bridge: since its creation in the early 2000s, Final Destination has fed the psychoses of many generations around the world. A return to the roots for fans of body horror: the cinematic phenomenon is making a grand comeback in 2025 with a nightmarish storyline that involves multiple generations of the same family. Once again, a terrible fate awaits the characters, teased in chilling yet enticing images by a trailer that’s as terrifying as it is exciting.

Remember: if Final Destination had such great success, it’s thanks to the overused yet fascinating horror concept of the curse. At the start of each film, there’s an extremely deadly everyday accident where every bloody detail is thrown in the viewer’s face… ultimately avoided thanks to the sudden vision of the main character. However, because destiny has rules that the supernatural ignores, all the people who were supposed to die that day are one by one caught by death, in a totally random, often absurd, but incredibly graphic way.

Rest assured, the sixth movie will keep that successful DNA while delving into the origins of this mysterious phenomenon. Final Destination Bloodlines focuses on the vision of a young woman in the 60s. “ Tormented by a nightmare that keeps coming back, Stefanie, a university student, returns home to track down the only person who can break this endless cycle and save her loved ones from the fate that awaits them…” is how the movie’s synopsis goes. 

On the menu of adventures, and as the trailer shows, we can expect a chic evening gone wrong, a family reunion interrupted by the grim reaper, and the ominous predictions of a frail fortune teller to thwart the chaos. All of this with...
