2026 is undoubtedly going to be a year of cinema. And while there are feature films we eagerly anticipate to see in theaters — Hamnet, Guru, Marty Supreme, LOL 2.0, The Drama, Michael… among others — we are just as excited to be surprised by independent films, quirky short films, and captivating documentaries. This will be made possible thanks to the numerous film festivals taking place in Paris this year. We’ve put together our selection for you.
The Myceliades
The beginning of February 2026 will be dedicated to science fiction. This festival, which will occur in 80 French cities, will combine screenings, meetings, and workshops. By discussing collapses and human resistances, or even the protections of living beings, the various projections will explore, each in their own way, this year's theme: “Resilience.”
