"I am very happy to announce that after 18 years, Malcolm in the Middle is coming back with new episodes on @disneyplus !", this week announced Frankie Muniz, the show's main actor, on Instagram. Four brand new episodes
Frankie Muniz, who played Malcolm, had dropped some hints back in 2022 when he guest-starred on Fox News, mentioning that Bryan Cranston - who famously played the hilarious Hal - was working on the reboot of the show. "I would love to know what happened to our family. I know that Bryan Cranston is...really à fond in the idea of a revival and he is currently leading the writing of a script and setting everything up. So, there could be something," he detailed. Three years later, it's official: the additional episodes, totaling four, will be broadcast on the streaming platform Disney +. And to take the reins of the series, none other than the original creator himself, Linwood Boomer.

Malcolm, Hal, and Lois are back!
This long-awaited sequel is sure to bring back the nostalgia for Malcolm fans as it plunges them into a vibrant new family adventure. The synopsis reveals a Malcolm who has become a father, caught in the whirlwind of his family when Hal and Lois invite him to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary.
As for the cast, it's confirmed: Bryan Cranston (Hal), Frankie Muniz (Malcolm), and Jane Kaczmarek (Lois) are reprising their roles, while the mystery still surrounds the rest of the siblings - Justin Berfield (Reese), Erik Per Sullivan (Dewey), and Christopher Masterson (Francis). We sincerely hope to see them all again to complete this chaotic family picture, with the release date still unknown as of today.
