Wednesday, August 26, 2026, the world said goodbye to one of cinema's greatest icons. Tim Curry passed away at the age of 80, leaving the film world and cultural community in mourning. He became famous for his portrayal of Doctor Frank-N-Furter in the film The Rocky Horror Picture Show in 1975 (previously created on stage in 1973), as well as for his role as the clown in It, a miniseries adaptation of Stephen King's famous novel. To pay tribute to him, a cinema in the 5th arrondissement invites you Friday, August 28 and Saturday, August 29, 2026 to watch (or rewatch) one of his cult classics on the big screen.

"I'm just a Sweet Transvestite"
Head to Studio Galande, in the 5th arrondissement, to rediscover The Rocky Horror Picture Show this weekend! The cinema regularly screens this film, but this time around, the showing promises to be a particularly special moment. The film follows Janet (Susan Sarandon) and Brad (Barry Bostwick), a couple who break down in the middle of nowhere in the dead of night. They seek refuge in the mansion of Doctor Frank-N-Furter, a cross-dressing scientist who has created Rocky, a man with the perfect look but completely dim-witted. The film features cult-classic songs like "Sweet Transvestite", "Time Warp", and "Touch-A, Touch-A, Touch Me", written and composed by Richard O'Brien.

A one-of-a-kind musical
