Every year, the world of the seventh art is shaken up in May, with the Cannes Festival. It's a unique ceremony that brings together all the top names in global cinema to present the best upcoming films. However, there’s a little catch: between the time we hear about it and when these feature films are finally available in theaters, sometimes months pass, which can be quite frustrating. So, in their great kindness, one of the best cinemas in Paris has decided to end our wait a bit earlier than expected.


The best of the festival at your fingertips

This year again, the cinemas in France are pulling out all the stops to let you experience the magic of the Cannes Festival without heading down south. It's the perfect chance to take in a lot! the eyes thanks to the discoveries of the moment, and especially to forming your own opinion after seeing many often very divergent critiques from journalists, influencers, and other curious passersby.

For a whole week, there are no less than 25 films making their way across France. And in the capital, head to MK2 Bibliothèque for a chance to discover the most popular feature films at the moment, including the 2026 Palme d'Or! Yes, we’re a little late to the party, but don’t worry, you still have plenty of time to enjoy it all!


A Busy Schedule

If, like many of us, you're planning to take advantage of the upcoming days to escape the heat while brushing up on your film knowledge, we definitely recommend taking a trip to the BnF to enjoy the official selection of the 2026 Cannes Film Festival. And we c...Starts this Monday, May 25th with a screening of Garance, featuring Adèle Exarchopoulos, at 7 PM. The next day, we enjoy the Japanese film Few Days in Nagi, with the presence of director Kōji Fukada at 7 PM, and especially Fjord, the Palme d’Or winner by Cristian Mungiu, presented at 9:15 PM. On Wednesday 27th, we follow up with Fatherland, by Paweł Pawlikowski, at 8 PM. On Thursday 28th, at the same time, we’ll be delighted by Our Salvation, by Emmanuel Marre. And we’ll wrap up the week beautifully on Friday 29th at 7 PM with A Woman’s Life, by Charline Bourgeois-Tacquet!
