The Printemps du Cinéma is an event that returns every year since 2000, allowing you to enjoy the latest films at a special price of 5 euros for three days - from March 23 to 25 - in 6,000 cinemas across the country. In Paris, the UGC, Pathé, MK2 establishments, and various art house theaters are part of the fun.

Organized by the Fédération nationale des cinémas français (FNCF), this festival aims to make the seventh art accessible, especially as cinema attendance is on the rise in France, despite high ticket prices for vulnerable audiences. At 5 euros, the organizers highlight that the cost of a ticket is well below the average price of 7.20 euros (according to CNC figures from 2022, which aren’t fully representative of Parisian prices).

Spring Cinema: Movies to See

"There's a real desire for cinema that embraces a wide variety of films, from art house to blockbusters, appealing to both the young and the more mature audiencesFranceinfo last year. Next March, expect to see the same diversity of films showcased for all audiences, ranging from Luca Guadagnino's sensual Queer to the family-friendly live-action Snow White and the new sci-fi satire by Boon Jong-Ho, Mickey 17.

A Hilarious Teaser

In partnership with Canal +, the 2025 edition of Printemps du cinéma will be promoted in theaters starting this Wednesday, February 25, featuring a rather comical teaser. During your next screening, in the tedious ads/trailers sequence, you can watch actors Nora Hamzawi and Pierre Deladonchamps playing two cops on a quest to find a cat nicknamed Roucky Balboa. «A Purr-fect Investigation» led by the cream of the Paris police… or not!
