The Count of Monte Cristo(2024) 

French cinema still has bright days ahead, as shown by the box office results for 2024: three of the top five films were domestic productions. A Little Something Extra by comedian Artus attracted nearly 11 million viewers, closely followed by the  Count of Monte Cristo, which was watched by around 9.4 million people in French theaters. Alexandre Dumas's work is making a vibrant comeback, even on streaming platforms: Canal + is about to host the swashbuckling film solidly led by Pierre Niney in the role of Edmond Dantès

Severance, season 2

 The memories related to professional life and those connected to private life. Two years, a strike by the screenwriters in Hollywood and an internal conflict later, season 2 of the best series on Apple TV+ will finally be revealed. 

An original concept for a series that is just as unique : slow-paced but with a minimalist effective direction, this dystopian thriller about the world of work has managed to hypnotize us by questioning bureaucratic alienation, hierarchical manipulation, and the power of knowledge. We are expecting great things from this second installment, much of the plot remains a mystery.

Asura, Season 1 

We owe Hirokazu Kore-eda some heartfelt family dramas that really hit home: after Like Father, Like Son (2013), A Family Affair (Palme d'Or in 2017), and The Innocence (2023), the Japanese director tries his hand at a series with Asura, coming soon to Netflix. It’s no surprise that it draws inspiration from his favorite theme: family

According to Variety, this new story unfolds in 1979. Here’s the synopsis: “One winter day, the four Takezawa sisters gather for the first time in a long while. Takiko suspects that their aging father, Kotaro, has a mistress.et a child. Although the other sisters find this incredible, they promise to hide it from their mother, Fuji. However, this excitement brings to light various conflicts and secrets lurking in the lives of the women.  » Asura is inspired by the novel Ashura no Gotoku by the Japanese novelist and screenwriter Kuniko Mukoda.

I Miss You, Season 1 

The master of suspense Harlan Coben is teaming up again with the streaming platform with the red N, adapting one of his novels into a series for the eighth time. In I miss you, it’s once again a story of false pretenses that we’re talking about: Kat Donovan's fiancé (Rosalind Eleazar) hasn't been seen for eleven years, but he reappears as quickly as he vanished in the police officer's feed on a dating app. Josh’s (Richard Armitage) return forces Kat to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father's murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past.

"This is the first time one of her series takes place in a city. There are only five episodes, so everything is very focused on each characterVictoria Asare-Archer. On Call, Season 1

On Call, a brand new police drama created by Tim Walsh and Elliot Wolf, takes the viewer deep into police interventions on the streets of Long Beach, California.
