You've always dreamed of dining in a real night market in China? No need to take a plane: head to the Beaubourg district, in the heart of a small street located just a stone's throw from the Centre Pompidou at 888 NIGHTMARKET, a true temple of Chinese street food.

A Chinese market in Paris

« This restaurant is a family story. Before, it belonged to my parents who are now retired. My brother and I took over last year and we transformed everything to create a younger atmosphere that reflects us». And what an atmosphere! Here, Rémi and Richard have recreated a real night market like in China, with all the elements that characterize it: brick walls, lanterns, old signs and high wooden tables for the nighttime version.Traditional at the front of the restaurant, bright neon lights and black tiles on the wall for the more modern version at the back.

Two rooms, two atmospheres but a common DNA that takes us straight to the heart of the night markets. "We really wanted to show people a very special atmosphere of China, and night markets are what we have always enjoyed the most with my brother," explains Rémi.

China like you've never tasted before

On the menu: wonderful specialties from the Wenzhou region, with Korean and Sichuan influences. Melt-in-your-mouth eggplants, grilled dumplings made from a family recipe, Korean-style fried chicken with "Szechuan" sauce (you get the idea?), noodles in sauce with minced pork and tons of garlic like in Wenzhou... In short, a menu that's part street food, part restaurant with great value for money. But the standout dish is the. This is the one not to be missed, especially the juicy lamb skewers with secret spices, a true emblem of Chinese night markets.

You can also find some dishes to share such as the Mala Xiang Guo - a Sichuan specialty made with vegetables, shrimp, and marinated chicken, sautéed in a spicy Sichuan peppercorn sauce - or the cheese dumpling party, a dish of 20 grilled dumplings to dip in a pot of melted cheese… An incredibly comforting recipe that you won't find anywhere else.

But why the name 888 NIGHTMARKET? In China, the number 8 is a symbol of prosperity and happiness. This is why Rémi and Richard chose to incorporate it into the name of their restaurant. A lucky number that resonates as a promise: to experience a unique and immersive culinary experience, full of tradition and authenticity, all in a modern and welcoming atmosphere. As you may have guessed, the two brothers have put all their heart into this venture.Enjoy the work to give you an immersion in China as if you were there, so all that's left is for you to go! 888 NIGHTMARKET | 一村夜话 37, Beaubourg street - 3rd Every day from 6pm to midnight, Fri. and Sat. from 6pm to 1am Phone: 01.42.78.91.88 Instagram: @888nightmarket Website: Website
