Are your resolutions ready? Written in a lovely outdated planner, mine remind me that whenever I'm feeling down, and to maintain my secretly trendy Parisian status, I shouldn't cry, but instead brunch – and prepare my wallet for the shock. So here are 5 fabulous places to consider for that crushingly low feeling on the New Year's Day.

1. Madame Rêve

Madame Rêve already offers a stunning all-you-can-eat Sunday brunch, but this January 1st, the five-star hotel decides to add a few festive dishes to its scrambled eggs, parsley mushrooms, and other perfectly executed staples. On the menu, you'll find seafood - cocktail shrimp and whelks - as well as duck foie gras with chutney and even a chocolate Yule log to savor!

ron cassis, praliné signed Benoît Castel. It's the most affordable brunch in this selection: expect to pay 80 € per person, all in a Belle Époque atmosphere with incredible charm.

The Peninsula Paris, nicknamed "little Versailles", is refreshing its delightful New Year’s brunch by showcasing exceptional products as well as the Cantonese cuisine from its restaurant, LiLi. We can expect exquisite savory dishes, fresh pastries, a chocolate fountain, marshmallow bears, and a buffet filled with several creations from pastry chef Anne Coruble. As for the price, it's 235 € per adult and 117 € per child.

3. Le Café de la Paix

In addition to its traditional New Year's Eve dinners on December 24 and 31, the Café de la Paix offers the chance to reserve a table to enjoy an ultra-gourmet brunch with your loved ones on the first day of the new year. While the dishes served are kept secret, this iconic Parisian spot is known for its generosity and high-quality ingredients, prepared by renowned chefs : scampi, imperial smoked salmon, foie gras, turbot, pie, or even Yule logs could very well become the stars of the plates...

A feast at  160 € per person.
