What if the best summer destination in France is just a stone's throw from Nice? The context is telling: this summer, no one wants crowded spots. Searches for "places in France" have surged by 108% in just one month, and on TikTok, #slowtravel has already racked up 13.5K posts and 99.1 million views.
Peillon checks all the boxes
Travel experts from the rental company SIXT have put together a ranking based on specific criteria: low search volume, quality attractions and historical sites, hiking trails, accommodations, summer weather, light pollution, and accessibility. And it’s Peillon that...it comes out on top, boosted by a drop of 44.23% in Google searches over the past year, a gem that's even quieter than usual, with only 1,040 monthly searches.
