An undeniable charm, a peaceful and family atmosphere, Nice does not disappoint the French in the ranking of the safest cities in France published by Le Parisien this weekend. It ranks 55th of the safest cities in France out of 119. It is worth noting that it is among the top 3 major French metropolises (Strasbourg is 41st and Nantes 59th). To establish this ranking, Le Parisien relied on crime data provided by the Ministry of the Interior, taking into account a multitude of criteria such as burglaries, thefts, and assaults in cities with more than 50,000 inhabitants. And the finding is clear: Lille is clearly lagging behind. At the top of the rankings, we find the port city of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin in Manche, with an overall score of 16.34 out of 20. It is followed by Boulogne-Billancourt (15.65/20) and the city of Ajaccio in Corsica (15.35/20) which dominate the podium, confirming their reputation as cities where it is good to live in complete safety.
