Nice has decided to put the little drones in with the big ones. On June 6th, this beautiful Mediterranean city becomes the European capital of light and ecological commitment, hosting a monumental show featuring 2025 drones in the sky, making it the largest ever organized in Europe, and visible from the Quai des États-Unis. This incredible feat is brought to life by Dronisos, who has smashed the previous record held by Disneyland Paris with its 1571 dazzling drones back on July 14, 2024.

This spectacular show — yes, we're emphasizing that — will kick off the festivities for the 3rd United Nations Conference on the Ocean, taking place in Nice from June 9 to 13. The goal? To shine a light (literally) on the crucial issues surrounding the preservation of seas and oceans, with the presence of top global leaders. Christian Estrosi aims to make a strong impact, and we can definitely say the bet is already a winning one.
2025 illuminated drones in the Nice sky
Starting at 8:30 PM, the French touch will heat things up with Agoria and Cassius, leading figures in the French electro scene, who will be dropping their tunes against a stunning sunset backdrop. Then, at 10:45 PM, the sky will light up. The 2025 drones will take off from the Centenaire beach, fly over the Castel, and wave hello to the famous "I Love N...ice », in a luminous ballet lasting 12 to 14 minutes designed as a poetic ode to the ocean.
All orchestrated like a blockbuster: 4 months of preparation, about twenty technicians on site, an artistic director for the narrative, choreographers for precision, a studio for an immersive soundtrack… In short, a grand art event, free and under the open sky. So, on June 6th, let's look to the sky. Because the future of our oceans deserves more than just speeches — it deserves a show that’s truly spectacular.
