Starting from June 29, 16 trains a day will launch on the Marseille-Toulon-Nice line. We’re shifting from a sluggish service to a real cruising rhythm, with one departure every hour on weekdays and 16 round trips on weekends. This is a significant upgrade for a line that was honestly in need of a refresh. And indeed, the Omneo trains from Alstom are brand new, stylish, and most importantly, designed for comfort.
One train per hour with wifi, power outlets, sandwiches, and bikes on board
These new regional trains, 110 meters long, can accommodate up to 730 passengers (in double formation), featuring first and second-class seats, wifi, power outlets to charge your phone at every seat, luggage compartments, and even bike spaces (twelve per train, with eight bookable in advance). And the cherry on top: vending machines for sandwiches and drinks. It’s like being in a rolling lounge!

Bookable Seats
Another big innovation for a TER: the ability to reserve seats. It's a detail that changes everything, especially for families or groups who have struggled until now to travel together. Now, there's no need to rush through the carriages hoping to sit next to each other. It's a real step forward to make trains competitive with cars. So yes, it's modern, yes, it's more consistent, but not everything is perfect yet. The prices are still a bit steep (between €20 and €40 depending on demand), and the old Corail trains could accommodate a bit more people. But hey, we're trading in an old, worn-out Corail train for a brand new, air-conditioned shuttle, fast (up to 200 km/h), and it should, let's be honest, really ease travel on this congested route.
Meet us on the platforms starting June 29!
