The cult show hosted by the great Stéphane Bern is back, and this year, it's Saorge, a perched gem in the Alpes-Maritimes, that will proudly represent the PACA region. It's quite a challenge for this village, classified among "The Most Beautiful Villages of France," as it aims to win the prestigious title of "Favorite Village of the French".

Perched on the steep slopes of the Roya Valley, Saorge feels like it's suspended in time. Like a cascade of houses tumbling down the mountain, this village presents an almost unreal sight, a stunning view from every angle you discover it from.
With its steep alleyways, vaulted passages, and tall houses in warm hues, Saorge has all the charm of a perched Provençal village. Yet, it boasts a unique identity, blending ancient traditions with Italian influences. Even though only 450 residents call it home year-round, the village remains lively, especially in the summer, when you can spot some visitors dining in the small restaurants while music wafts from open windows.

It's your turn to vote for the Favorite Village of the French
Since 2012, the show "The Favorite Village of the French" shines a spotlight on 14 exceptional villages, judged on their heritage, gastronomy, craftsmanship, and way of life. With an audience ranging from 2 to 2.5 million viewers, this competition has become a prestigious title. But to hope for the title, Saorge needs the support of all Isérois and lovers of its heritage.
