Drivers in Nice quickly spotted it... sometimes a little too late. This Tuesday, a brand new mobile radar was installed on the very busy Promenade des Anglais, specifically at number 77, in the direction of the city center/airport, according to information from Actu Nice. And let's just say it's not there to stand around: it's already flashing left and right. The Alpes-Maritimes prefecture, contacted by our colleagues at Actu Nice, confirmed the immediate operation of the device. The goal: to bring some calm to this iconic stretch of the Côte d’Azur, sadly known for its speeding and repeated accidents.

Just a reminder, the speed limit is set to 50 km/h on this road, a detail that some still seem to have a hard time accepting. So here’s a little tip for those who want to avoid an unpleasant surprise in their mailbox: slow down a bit. Because on the Prom’, it’s no longer the sun that’s shining down, it’s the radar.
