What if a tourist train (so a train that goes through incredible spots) soon connected Nice to Milan? That's at least the wish of Trenitalia. Even better: they actually want to create not just one but 2 railway lines to connect the French Riviera to Italy! And this is not an impossible dream since Trenitalia recently launched its Paris-Lyon-Milan line. According to France 3, Trenitalia is already looking ahead with a desire to deploy its trains between France and Italy as early as this summer! "We won't be on a high-speed line, but rather an intercity line. This service should be operational probably for the summer of 2024 with a Milan-Marseille round trip per day. As for the pricing, it is still being worked out." One can easily imagine that on a journey like this, the train will make stops. In Nice and probably even in Monaco. And what about the second line in all of this? This would be in effect by 2025 and would involve a train connecting Nice and Turin. In this case, the concept would be a bit different with ultra-modern trains all made of glass to allow passengers to enjoy the beauty of the landscape. This panoramic line would be the equivalent of the train of wonders in the Alps. A true tourist route to make the journey as interesting as the destination!
