Throughout July 14th, several highlights will mark the commemorations. After the traditional military parade at Place Masséna in the morning, President Emmanuel Macron will preside over the memorial ceremony starting at 6 PM, in the presence of victim associations. At 8:30 PM, the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra will also perform a concert at the Théâtre de Verdure (with reservation), before leading into the grand highlight of the evening.

2,016 drones and then 86 beams of light

At 10 PM, all eyes will turn towards the Bay of Angels. Where we're usually accustomed to enjoying a fireworks display, this time hundreds of drones will create a tribute in the Nice sky. A sound-imbued spectacle, visible from the Quai des États-Unis to the first pergola of the Promenade des Anglais, designed primarily as a moment of remembrance.

of collective memory. Then, at 10:34 PM, the exact time when the attack began ten years ago, 86 beams of light will rise into the sky. As every year, each one will represent a victim. For two hours, these columns of light will remind us that behind the numbers are faces, families, and lives forever changed.

It's a way for Nice to keep alive the memory of those who have disappeared, while bringing the community together around a message of remembrance, solidarity, and hope.
