Come on, we all can't wait for the Lemon Festival ! If you've never seen it, we're warning you, it's going to be a feast for the eyes ! Between the spectacular parades, the citrus scents wafting through the air, and the incredible energy radiating from every street corner, it’s an unforgettable experience. And let’s be honest : with Menton just 40 minutes from Nice, it's the perfect excuse for a little last-minute getaway !

Over 200,000 visitors each year

Since its creation in 1934, the Lemon Festival has become a true symbol of the city. Originally, it was a simple and joyful way to celebrate citrus harvests, because yes, Menton is the lemon capital thanks to its exceptional microclimate.

This year, the theme is totally interstellar: “Journey through the Stars”. What can we expect? Definitely floats adorned with lemons and oranges transformed into planets, constellations, or even rockets. All of this will be brought to life by dancers, musicians, and street performers who will make the parades pulse both day and night. And if you’ve already seen the nighttime parades, you know how magical it is with the lights reflecting off the structures. For now, the visuals remain a mystery, but we already know we’re in for a feast for the eyes!

Nearly 140 tons of citrus fruits are used

If it’s your first time at the lemon festival, we highly recommend you go take a look.

d'œil on the side of the Biovès Gardens, another must-see. These gardens turn into an open-air museum every year thanks to its giant sculptures made entirely of citrus fruits. It's free and accessible to everyone, so there's no reason not to go check it out!
