The Editor

Côté Sushi is not your average Japanese restaurant. A pioneer of Nikkei cuisine in France, the brand tells a culinary story, but not only that. It was in the 19th century that an agreement between Japan and Peru led a community of Japanese to set sail for South America. Culture clash and intense disorientation for the Japanese, who had no choice but to recreate new dishes using Peruvian ingredients. The famous wasabi was replaced by Peruvian chili peppers.

The immigrants were also called Nikkei, a word that gave its name to this new cuisine that mixes Japan and Peru. Highly appreciated, it is above all colorful, spicy, and super tasty.

A cuisine that pays tribute to its history

Nikkei cuisine is a real success thanks to this mix of spices, fruits, and fish. Sushi Side skillfully handles all the characteristics of this cuisine arising from these two cultures to offer us an innovative and successful menu.

Ceviche, tiradito, nikkei rolls, and donburi... the menu is a real journey through Peruvian and Japanese cuisine. You can also find the great classics of Japanese cuisine, such as sushi, maki, and yakitoris, all more appetizing than the others.

The products are fresh and of excellent quality, sourced from local producers. Plus, Côté Sushi is committed to sustainable fishing, and the salmon are delivered every morning to the restaurants to guarantee maximum freshness for the customers.

A real gem that has been open in Nice for almost a year now, becoming a must-visit address!
