The coastline of Cagnes-sur-Mer is about to experience a major transformation. Starting in April 2025, a brand new pump track will invigorate the seaside in front of the racetrack, promising an exceptional spot for BMX, skate, roller, and mountain bike enthusiasts. With its 1,800 m² of winding tracks and elevated turns, this shiny new circuit is set to become a must-visit for all riders, whether they’re beginners or pros. A recent site visit has already provided a sneak peek of this future skating area, which, with the Mediterranean as a backdrop, is poised to be one of the trendiest spots on the French Riviera.

Far from being just a simple hobby project, this installation is part of a true revitalization of the Cagnes-sur-Mer coastline. Inspired by the free spirits of Venice Beach, this pump track will be an accessible space for everyone, from families to athletes looking for speed and thrills. “The city of Cagnes-sur-Mer has a quality seaside promenade, a vital asset for its appeal. We wanted to enhance this space by offering infrastructure suited for all generations and skill levels,” explains the municipality.

With a total length of 430 meters and a width of 2.50 meters, the course is designed to provide a smooth and dynamic flow. But the project doesn’t stop there. In parallel, the entire coastline will be rethought to enhance user circulation. The current bike path will be relocated to offer more comfort.

Pedestrian access and create a true observation area for spectators. An arrangement aimed at making the walk even more enjoyable, while integrating the pump track into a harmonious environment.

The site will be more than just a playground for riders; it will also be a vibrant living space. Benches, bike racks, and rest areas will be set up to allow everyone to fully enjoy the surroundings. With a budget of 736,138 euros and the planting of 1,300 trees and shrubs, this project also aims to preserve the balance between urban development and nature. Just a stone's throw from the Marina Baie des Anges, this new space promises to add a dash of adrenaline and fun to the Cagnes-sur-Mer waterfront, while enhancing its appeal to both locals and tourists.
