Behind this trendy spot are Olivier Daniel and Kevin Lalanne, who previously worked at Merkado. For their restaurant Babel Babel, they found a charming house with a sea view that they revamped from ceiling to floor.
The result: stone walls, a massive wooden bar, powder pink chairs, chandeliers with pendants, and natural materials that age beautifully over time. And of course, just like their neighboring Ponchettes, there's an amazing terrace with a stunning sea view!
On the plates, it’s a delightful dance for the taste buds. With Israeli inspirations and Mediterranean products, the shared portions are bursting with sunshine. Eggplants in tahini sauce with hard-boiled eggs, shakshuka straight from there, kubenia with tahini and pomegranate, and fresh herbs, raw beet ravioli, creamy hummus, and spiced vine leaves. All of this is perfect for dipping joyfully with lovely homemade pitas.
To slide into some inspiration, there's no shortage either: Babel Babel Spritz with Sikos and amontillado Sherry, Salty Dog With Attitude made with vodka and grapefruit puree, or even Petit Lait with rum, fino Sherry, homemade orgeat syrup, and a splash of milk!
