The Editor

For a whole week and all over France, the Mojito Week* is all about celebrating the historic cocktail from Havana. The program includes workshops on the mojito with a Havana Club Ambassador who will reveal all the secrets to learn how to make your own mojito at home (put away that crushed ice, we want ice cubes!).

From July 10th to 16th, from the French Riviera to the Basque Coast, passing through Paris, Marseille, Lyon or Nice, the Mojito Week is taking over partner bars across France with a mission: share the history of Havana Club rum and teach the true recipe for the cocktail. In total, several dozen of the best spots in the country are going Cuban, and in Paris, there are two daily meet-ups at 6pm and 9:30pm. To help navigate it all, we can rely on our interactive map.

Don't forget to check the schedule on time. See you there?

A story that became legendary

The Mojito, a cocktail from Cuba, is today the favorite cocktail of the French! Born in a bar in Havana, its success was confirmed in the 1920s-1930s and spread across continents. Havana Club, a globally renowned brand whose expertise of the Maestros del Ron Cubano is now recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage, played a key role in its introduction in France and around the world.

But beware, the authentic Cuban mojito has only one recipe! In Cuba, the real mojito is made with ice cubes and not crushed ice. White sugar powder is used instead of brown sugar. While each bartender has their own trick, the classic mojito with Havana Club 3 years is the reference to discover during Mojito Week!
