"Foam" for "mousse", the concept is clear. The former owners of Paloma Cantine have prepared a surprise for beer lovers in Nice over the weekend: they have transformed their Mediterranean restaurant into a self-service beer bar!
The idea? 12 beer taps are lined up in the middle of the bar and you can pour yourself as much as you want, whenever you want. On your first visit, you top up your card at the bar, then, whenever thirst strikes, you pick a glass from the shelf, choose your drink using the "identity cards" provided by the screens above each tap, and simply pour yourself the desired amount. A dream come true for those who have always wanted to be on the other side of the bar! Plus, since you pay per centiliter, you can try a little bit of everything in the same evening.
For the food, Foam borrowed some secrets from its predecessor Paloma Cantine to offer fresh and colorful plates. In shareable portions, you can choose from a parsnip purée with black radishes and breadsticks, a hummus with cheese puff pastry, a pork variation, or a tin of sardines.
The time for beer soaked with peanuts is over, malt and hops now pair with fresh and tasty products.
