Attention all petanque enthusiasts, whether you're a shooter or a pointer: we have discovered the ultimate tournament for all you proud southerners out there. The second edition of Pétanque Days is coming to Nice for the first time, right in Place Arson, offering a thrilling tournament that is open to all.

The pétanque festival takes up residence in Nice

After causing a sensation in Bordeaux, Nice will host the Pétanque Days for the very first time. This debut will not go unnoticed in the south where pétanque reigns supreme. In this region where boules are an integral part of daily life (accompanied by the sound of cicadas and a glass of Ricard), the event will take place on June 14, 15, and 16 at Place Arson for 3 days of frenzied competition in a festival atmosphere.

1000 competitors and 40 playing fields

The event will welcome 1000 participants per day (or 160 teams of three) on a spacious playing field and facilities spanning 3000 m2. The perfect setting for friendly games of shooting or pointing with friends. With an anticipated attendance of 8000 people (players and spectators) over the weekend, the event will be buzzing with activity in a lively village atmosphere featuring refreshment stands, local food trucks, and live music.

If the food will be stamped niçoise, the music will also highlight local up-and-coming talent with DJ sets from collectives from Nice. On Friday and Saturday, the square will transform into a giant dancefloor until midnight.

To join the fun at Pétanque Days Nice 2024, all you have to do is sign up as a team. Once you're registered, you'll compete (in a friendly way) on 40 courts with lots of prizes up for grabs. There are rewards not only for the top winners but also for participants in the raffle.

Experience a unique event at an open-access village. Just be careful not to disturb the experts!
