We can all agree, melted cheese is something we will never get tired of. In fact, we even feel a visceral need to ingest a minimum dose of it every year, otherwise we'll end up feeling frustrated in winter. At La Cave du Fromager, this promise is not only kept but exceeded: we indulge in our favorite melted cheeses, but most importantly, they are carefully selected for their high quality. From award-winning camembert to perfectly prepared Lard Colonata, this cheese cellar introduces us to the best of what the land has to offer.

It must be said that Mathieu, who took over the restaurant a year and a half ago, had a good education. Raised between the halls of the hotel school in Nice where his father taught and his grandmother's cooking pots, he quickly developed a passion for gastronomy. So, when it came to opening his restaurant, it was only natural for him to surround himself with a team of chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants and a passionate server.

If you love chatting about good food with your mouth full, then you've found the perfect conversation partners. Mathieu will tell you all about the natural wines that fill the walls of his cellar. From the winemakers to the wine-making techniques, organic and biodynamic practices, he knows his bottles inside out, even though they come from all corners of the world.

When it comes to cheese and cold cuts, Maeva will tell you everything, absolutely everything. From different types of milk to seasons, through regions and maturing processes, nothing escapes her. But that's not all, at the Fromagerie Cave, experienced chefs don't just melt cheese in a pot, they create a daily menu of starters and desserts to die for. Parsley snails, caramelized foie gras or a perfect egg, needless to say, here too, we are talking about quality dishes.

We almost forgot: the Cave du Fromager is first and foremost...a cave. So you will eat among the bottles and the twinkling lights that adorn the stone vaulted walls. Super cozy in the winter, refreshing in the summer (with a menu that evolves accordingly), it's the perfect temperature all year round!
