The Editor

Since April 17, 2026, it's now possible to travel directly between Nantes and Strasbourg thanks to this new airline route. Two flights are available each week, on Mondays and Fridays, providing a convenient option for weekends as well as for business trips.

A new direct connection between Nantes and Strasbourg

This link fills a real gap. Until now, connecting these two cities often required a stop in Paris or long hours by train. This situation clearly hindered exchanges between these two dynamic regions.

A Spectacular Time Saver

The main selling point of this new route is, unsurprisingly, the travel time. Expect around 1.5 hours of flight time, compared to 6 to 7 hours by train. That's a difference that changes everything, especially for busy professionals and travelers. While trains often require several connections and a bit of planning, flying makes everything so much easier!

An Opportunity for Tourism and Business

With this route, EasyJet isn’t just aiming for business travelers. The tourism potential is huge too! Nantes charms with its cultural dynamism, heritage, and proximity to the ocean. On the other hand, Strasbourg attracts visitors with its stunning architecture, European vibe, and famous historic center. This direct connection could really boost exchanges between these two cities, whether for a city break or a business trip. It’s also a great way to improve some of the cross-country links in France that are still underdeveloped.

A New Route

Still in the testing phase

However, keep in mind that this new feature is currently temporary. The connection is scheduled to last until May 18, 2026, as part of an experimental phase. The goal is clear: to gauge the interest of travelers before considering a permanent installation. In other words, the success of this route will directly depend on its occupancy rate. If demand meets expectations, it could very well become a long-lasting fixture in the French air travel landscape. On the flip side, if it doesn't attract enough interest, it could vanish just as quickly as it arrived.

Attractive prices to entice

On the pricing side, EasyJet remains true to its strategy with ticket prices starting at €40 for a one-way trip. This is a particularly appealing starting price, even though additional options like luggage often need to be added.
