You dream of wielding an axe like Gimli and the plaid shirt suits you perfectly? Well, you're in luck, because a new axe throwing venue has just opened its doors in Nantes. This sport, diligently practiced by our Canadian friends, continues to establish itself in our city. Le Bonbon Nantes presents to you Les Frères Jacks.

At the beginning, The Jacks Brothers is the story of Adrien and Grégoire, two Breton brothers originally but adopted by Bordeaux and the South, who in 2018 had the desire to create their first axe throwing center in Bordeaux (Rennes would follow later in the year). This desire didn't come out of nowhere, the two brothers were already practicing axe throwing in their backyard before this activity officially became a sport.les frères jacks

The Jacks Brothers have settled in Nantes this year and were able to welcome their first customers in May, because it takes much more than a global health crisis to discourage brave lumberjacks! It is in a large hangar located in Saint-Sébastien-sur-Loire that you can indulge in axe throwing. The place is very bright thanks to the large glass roof at the entrance, and the decoration is obviously mainly made of wood, to fit the theme. The thing you can't miss when you enter is the beautiful fresco of the Jacks Brothers adorning one of the walls.

So, ready to feel like a lumberjack?

At Les Frères Jacks Nantes, you have 10 axe throwing lanes at your disposal (separated by safety nets) allowing you to unleash the lumberjack within you. It will cost you 48€ to rent your target for 1 hour, with 1 to 3 people per target. If you are a larger group, simply rent adjacent targets and you're good to go!

After your instructor explains the proper axe grip and throwing technique, you can start your session. Three different game modes are available: the first where you score the maximum points in 10 throws (each ring is worth 1 to 5 points), the second where you start with 100 points and must reach 0 exactly, and the last where you must hit each ring from the outside to the inside, then the two bullseyes in the top left and right corners of the target.

You got it, the latest game mode is really for the most precise among you and is definitely not for everyone.

Axe throwing, but not only...

Frères Jacks is of course an axe throwing room, but it doesn't stop there. It's also a bar area where you can quench your thirst before, during, and/or after your session, but also a photobooth corner to take your best photo after your lumberjack exploits. The venue is available for private hire for your private events (bachelor parties, bachelorette parties, birthdays, etc.) as well as for professionals (team building, ...).
