Ô Bocal: the historical zero waste grocery store
When we talk about bulk grocery stores in Nantes, we immediately think of Ô Bocal, the first zero waste shop in Nantes that opened its doors in 2016. Since then, a lot of progress has been made and Johanna has surrounded herself with a team that is as committed to the zero waste approach as they are educational.
.
All the products sold there are in bulk or with no disposable packaging, and come from organic farming. A big emphasis is placed on local products and short supply chains. A section of the store is dedicated to household products. O Bocal has expanded with a second location, allowing them to have a grocery store and a household products store in two separate places (and only 2 minutes walk from each other).
Add to that monthly workshops, and with Ô Bocal, the zero waste lifestyle will soon have no more secrets for you!

Nantes' AMAPs: buying directly from producers

Such a wonderful initiative to support the local agriculture!
There are over fifty of them in Nantes, scattered throughout the city. Several contracts are offered, allowing you to adjust the quantity of products to be picked up based on your consumption.
