Great news, less than two hours from Nantes, there are some absolutely stunning spots for swimming, chilling, or simply soaking up the sun like a lizard. Here’s our top 7 beaches you absolutely must try for a stylish, salty summer!

1. La Plage des Sablons – Pornic

A secret cove (well, it's not so secret anymore) with orange sand and crystal clear water. Nestled at the foot of a cliff, it's accessible via the customs officers' path in Sainte-Marie-sur-Mer. Intimate atmosphere, idyllic setting, it’s a real gem!*

2. Sainte-Marguerite Beach – Pornichet

900 meters of sand, just enough space to lay down your towel without bumping elbows with others. Nestled between two points, this beach also offers some spots for water sports. Bonus: it's right at the edge of Saint-Nazaire.

3. Minimes Beach – La Rochelle

Alright, La Rochelle isn't just next door, but it's perfect for a little weekend getaway. Family-friendly beach with a view of Fort Boyard, a beach volleyball court, and even a glimpse of the Phare du Bout du Monde. Just that!

4. Châtelaillon-Plage

A legendary seaside resort on the Atlantic coast. Soft sand, endless activities (zumba, paddleboarding, beach volleyball), and beach huts in summer to sip a drink facing the ocean.

5. Monsieur Hulot's Beach – Saint-Nazaire

Film lovers, you're going to love this place! It’s where Jacques Tati filmed his cult classic. Soft sand, Blue Flag label, and a retro chic vibe. A classic to rediscover!

6. Port Blanc Beach – Quiberon

Welcome to wild Brittany. Be careful, swimming is prohibited in certain coves due to strong currents, but the natural scenery is amazing. Must-see: Porz-Guen, a postcard-perfect cove.

7. Le Cabellou – Concarneau

A little Breton paradise! White sand, turquoise water, rocks sculpted by the waves,… The Cabellou peninsula is an escape without a plane ticket.

So, where are we heading this weekend?
