At 45 minutes from Nantes, you can reach the first beaches of Loire-Atlantique, in Pornic. There are dozens of beaches along the coast of our department, not to mention the lovely beaches in Brittany and Vendée just a stone's throw away. Here are our 10 favorite beaches in Loire-Atlantique. ### **La plage de Monsieur Hulot - Saint-Nazaire** In 1951, Jacques Tati filmed Les vacances de Monsieur Hulot here, as we explained in our top 10 films shot in Nantes. This lovely, somewhat vintage beach in the Saint-Marc-sur-mer neighborhood seems to be frozen in time. ![Monsieur Hulot Beach](https://uploads.lebonbon.fr/source/2018/nantes_2018/mai_2018/plages/Saint-Marc-sur-Mer_Plage_de_Mr_Hulot_Sea_front.JPG) *©Demeester/Creative Commons - Wikimedia* ### **La plage de Lerat - Piriac-sur-mer** This wild beach offers two swimming areas, separated by a few rocks, not far from a quite charming little port.
Enjoy the beautiful beaches of Loire-Atlantique! 🌊 📸 Check out the stunning Port-Lin Beach in Le Croisic with its fine sand and rocks. It's a popular spot in the summer! 🏖️ And don't miss Pont-Mahé Beach in Assérac, loved by kite-surfing enthusiasts. It's ideal for kids to swim with its shallow waters, but not recommended at low tide. 🌞 Get ready for some fun in the sun at these gorgeous beaches!
