Raclette at a restaurant or at home?
For those who want to enjoy a good raclette, either at a restaurant or at home, some Nantes restaurants and grocery stores offer a traditional raclette experience. Follow the guide!
A Potato Lover's Delight
This is one of the few places right in the city center of Nantes that serves a good old-fashioned family-style raclette. It would have been strange if the potato temple didn't have it on the menu! The advantage is that if you have a friend who's not really into raclette (yes, there's always someone like that in every group...), they can opt for another dish or exchange the raclette for a reblochonnade or a tartiflette. Just make sure to get up early or make a reservation to avoid waiting out in the cold for a table to free up.

Altitude in Pornichet
Isn't it curious, a high-altitude restaurant by the sea, right? Well, yeah, but just because we love seafood doesn't mean we can't also love good Savoyard dishes! That's the specialty of this charming spot, where you can warm up by the fire. Tartiflette, fondue, oozy raclettes. Yum! Also, they make mont d'or cooked over a wood fire!

Maison Frometon
Hard or soft cheese, blue cheese or aged goat cheese, there's plenty to choose from at Maison Frometon. Amélie Borde opened this cheese shop/dairy/fine grocery at the end of 2020 on Carmes street. She has chosen to work closely with her producers. She offers -among other things- delicacies that come directly from Jura, Savoie, Auvergne, and the Basque Country. Her butter with Guérande salt, raw cream, raw milk, and farm yogurts all come straight from a farm located 20 minutes from Nantes. Another beautiful place to enjoy some delicious treats.Looking for a place to buy excellent raclette cheese, but not only that!
