How about treating yourself to a good restaurant instead of the usual burgers? Lulu Rouget offers bold, technical, and delicious cuisine located just a stone's throw away from the Machines de l'Île. In a contemporary decor, you will discover the cuisine created by chef Ludovic Pouzelgues. Using fresh and seasonal ingredients, perfectly presented for those Instagram-worthy photos, doesn't that sound tempting?

Its decor is in the same contemporary spirit as that of the cuisine of the young chef who has become the darling of knowledgeable foodies. A table that is right on trend, showcasing beautiful local wine bottles (visible glass cellar).

To feel like you're in Italy: Paola

Paola is the new spot on the Island of Nantes. Located on Rue Julien Videment, right in front of the Machines de l'Île and the Elephant, Paola is a pizzeria that will take you on a journey with the flavors of its pizzas and the Italian accent of its chef. What we loved: the refreshing cocktails and shareable antipasti (burrata, mini calzone, truffle mortadella, ...). Perfect for starting your meal on a light note, even more so when dining on the terrace. The pizzas are Thin, crispy crust, and very flavorful.

For a craving for crepes: Just Bigoud'

Because according to some, Nantes is in Brittany (we won't take sides on that), we had to offer you a creperie on the Ile de Nantes. This is Just Bigoud' (note the pun), located on Rue Louis Blanc. Here, you'll find a traditional creperie with its stone walls. We recommend trying their République galette with Nantes-style filling, a local pride. And if you're not into galettes or crepes, the establishment also offers salads, open-faced sandwiches, casseroles, and Breizh burgers (burgers where the bun is replaced with .
