Freia, the Bold Plant-Based Cuisine of Sarah Mainguy

At the helm of Freia, Sarah Mainguy, a former Top Chef finalist, shows her talent and creative vision for cooking. Located on Boulevard de Berlin, this restaurant with a unique atmosphere, nestled under a wooden-arch greenhouse with breathtaking views of Nantes, offers vibrant plant-based and maritime cuisine.
On the plate, local and seasonal ingredients are beautifully presented in elegant dishes that play with textures and flavors. Blending Nordic influences with personal inspirations, Freia is a true culinary journey where every bite tells a story.

Omija, the perfect balance by Romain Bonnet

Located on Rue Fouré, in the Citée des Congrès area, Omija is another gem that has earned its first star. At the helm is chef Romain Bonnet, who opened this restaurant in 2019, offering refined cuisine that blends Asian inspirations with French techniques.
Omija, named after a Korean berry with five distinct flavors, truly lives up to its name: every dish is a subtle harmony of acidity, bitterness, sweetness, spiciness, and saltiness. A delightful balance that has impressed the Michelin Guide.

With these two new award winners, Nantes now boasts seven starred restaurants! Freia and Omija join the already recognized spots: L'Atlantide, Les Cadets, Le Manoir de la Régate, L'Épicurien, Lulu Rouget.
One question remains: which star will you taste first?
