Not content with offering the most varied and high-quality buffet in France, Les Grands Buffets now has the distinction of having set up the largest cheese platter in the world with 110 different references, just like that.

Amateur·s of cheese, your place is here. The restaurant Les Grands Buffets located in Narbonne, in the Aude region, is none other than the holder of the "largest cheese platter served in a restaurant in the world". An achievement inscribed in the Guinness World Records since 2020 already. What could be more normal in the land of cheese?


Cheese (really) to your heart's content

It took nearly four years to create this little marvel. On the menu: no less than 111 different cheeses selected and sourced by Xavier Thuret, Best Cheese Craftsman in France. A 30-meter long platter including 23 cheeses from other European countries, and 11 French regions represented, just like that.

Here, goodbye to bland and tasteless brie. On the menu you'll find Mont d'Or, gorgonzola, fontina cheese, and many more!

After 1,000 days, extra-old mimolette, beaufort, tomme de Savoie, coulommiers, bleu des Causses, roquefort, crottin de Chavignol, cabrera, Sein de nounou, boulette d'Avesnes, Trou du cru, and other little wonders from around the world. The place to go to impress your significant other... And in this restaurant, it's not just the cheese that is all-you-can-eat. You might be amazed (or shocked) by the quantity of products offered and especially by their quality. Endless variations of foie gras, lobsters, French cuisine prepared by and for gourmets, all at the very reasonable price of €57.90 per person.


A restaurant that will leave you amazed

When you arrive at the  Grands Buffets , you are struck by the atmosphere that surrounds you. Hundreds of people bustling around to be on time for service, dishes arriving one after the other on the large tables so you can help yourself and a simply royal selection of food. From foie gras prepared in a dozen different ways, traditional bistro dishes, lamb and suckling pig, every imaginable type of charcuterie, all kinds of fish and seafood, hundreds of desserts that you can even customize (waffles, ice cream, pastries, chocolate fountain...) and the famous cascade of lobsters (among other things, we can't mention them all here).
