Nantes, a very bad seed in veganism!

Despite a large number of restaurants and new addresses every year, the Nantes metropolis still lags behind in terms of veganism. At least, that's what the ranking of the top 10 vegan-friendly cities in France by HelloFresh - the global leader in meal kit delivery - suggests, using data from TripAdvisor and VegOresto.
Out of nearly 2,000 food establishments in Nantes, only 89 offer a vegan alternative. Not cool at all!

Southern Cities: Vegan Diet Paradise

In the table, which shows the ratio between the number of restaurants in the city, the number of restaurants offering at least one vegan option, and the percentage of all restaurants offering vegan options, we find southern cities taking the top 6 spots. Antibes, Aix-en-Provence, Nîmes, Avignon, Nice, and Cannes stand out as paradise for vegans, while Paris, Nantes, Bordeaux, and Lille don't even make the list. The sun-soaked lands are definitely outshining us...

Nantes is not the only large French metropolis to be a bad seed. The French capital, which should set the example, surprisingly ranks last. Out of the approximately 44,000 restaurants and dining establishments in Paris, only 1,679 offer a vegan option on their menu. This equates to a percentage of 2.8%, by far the lowest rate of all French cities.
