Two award-winning restaurants in Nantes for 2024

  • Meraki

In its review, the Michelin Guide specifies: "a Greek expression that means made with love, passion, and creativity! The tone is set in this warm and friendly bistro. Maxime Bocquier in the kitchen, and Clément Richard in the dining room (even though he is also a trained chef) have chosen to focus on vegetables and seafood. All products are local and organic - including the burrata from a dairy in Nantes. The menu changes every month. We especially enjoy an excellent gray shrimp broth poured over grilled cucumber and smoked eel, inevitably delighting the taste buds. As for the wine list, it leans towards organic and natural options, with wines from the Loire Valley taking the spotlight, but not forgetting other wine regions as well.

Here is the Michelin Guide review: "Behind a blue Klein storefront, a trendy bistro with vintage furniture and numerous trinkets, a full room, blissful smiles. It seems that Leo Huet, the chef, like others of his generation, has found the winning recipe: a lively and playful cuisine around fresh and tasty dishes - smoked mussels, kaffir, Thai basil and pistachio; ribeye steak and gorilla pepper, kimchi, shiso and cherry... all in contrasting flavors - that give us a little slap of pleasure. At dinner, the recipes step up, the customers take more time to savor the delicious dishes recommended by Maximilien, the chef's partner, in a very relaxed atmosphere."
