A futuristic hotel in the midst of nature

Here, we are far from classic hotels. L’EssenCiel stands out with its spectacular architecture inspired by a giant tree. Yes, that's right, a tree! A monumental structure with "branches" supporting suspended rooms, like nests perched between sky and earth.

Sleeping in a suspended nest over 20 meters high

The concept is simple yet astounding: offering an immersive experience where nature is at the center of it all. The hotel features 42 rooms, 36 of which are elevated, with some over 28 meters high. Each room, designed like a cocoon, offers a panoramic view of the Breton countryside.

Thanks to large circular openings — called oculus — visitors can observe the landscape as if it were a living painting. The result is a truly unique sensation, a mix of weightlessness and total connection with nature. It's the kind of place where you come as much to sleep as to experience something special.

Behind this slightly crazy project is a bold vision championed by Jean-Paul Legendre, in collaboration with the Architecture Agency Unité. The result? A retro-futuristic building, simultaneously minimalist and spectacular, blending technological innovation with architectural poetry. The concept is even patented! It's this mix of modernity and nature that makes the place so fascinating; you can't quite tell if you're in a hotel, a work of art, or an immersive installation.
