Specifically, these amounts allow the City to continue funding everyday public services while pursuing important projects to improve the quality of life for residents. This budget is part of a commitment to continuity, with a clear intention to fulfill several commitments made at the beginning of the term.
Investments focused on everyday life
With 133.4 million euros allocated to equipment expenses, Nantes continues to invest in concrete, visible, and useful projects for daily life. Among the top priorities, education tops the list with 35.4 million euros. This includes renovations of schools, modernization of facilities, and improvements to the welcoming conditions for students. TheThe cultural sector is not left out, with €18.4 million invested. The goal is to support existing infrastructures while also keeping Nantes a vibrant city in terms of arts. On the sports side, €13.1 million is planned to maintain and develop facilities, while nature in the city and biodiversity benefit from €10.7 million. Other areas are also supported: early childhood (€5.2 million), heritage (€6.1 million), community life (€9.6 million), and public safety and tranquility, with €5.1 million dedicated. Finally, €18 million will be allocated for the sustainable maintenance of facilities, demonstrating a commitment to preserving existing infrastructures for the long term.
