In an exclusive study, the international fintech SumUp has ranked the major cities in France that are most suitable for building a family life. The study takes into account various factors such as the number of schools and nurseries, sports centers, and playgrounds in the 25 largest cities of the hexagon.
Paris is officially the best city in France for raising children, scoring 5.689 points. Despite having the lowest percentage of green spaces (14%), the French capital makes up for it with its education and entertainment infrastructure. Indeed, Paris has the highest number of nurseries, sports centers, and entertainment venues. In second place is Lyon with a score of 4.126 points, which competes with the capital by having the most schools (187) and playgrounds (70). And in third place, we find Bordeaux.
A very good place for Nantes
For our beloved city of Nantes, this is also very good news (yes, you can applaud)! With a scorede 3.22 Nantes climbs to fourth place, offering its residents 43% green spaces, 185 schools, 132 daycare centers, and 44 playgrounds. A quality of life that's more than pleasant for raising little ones, we can all agree on that!
