As every year, the magazine L'Étudiant has revealed its ranking of the best student cities in France. And while Nantes is not yet on the podium, our beloved city is smiling again. This year, the City of the Dukes ranks 10th out of the 47 French cities that host more than 8,000 students. With a total score of 84/121, Nantes finishes just behind Angers and Lyon.

10th place for Nantes
With more than 65,000 students, Nantes stands out with a 14/20 score in attractiveness and 10/10 in terms of employment. These results lead 90.54% of surveyed students to recommend the city for studying there. However, Nantes could do much better in terms of housing with a 5/10, and health with a modest 6/10.
At the top of the rankings, Montpellier once again takes the lead with an overall score of 99/121, followed by Rennes, Caen, Toulouse, and Grenoble. We are far from reaching their level, but it's clear that there is improvement!
