"Do you see my house? No, neither do I," could be the new way of thinking for the residents of Pays de la Loire, as the number of Airbnb accommodations has soared. Nantes in Full "Airbnb Mania"
In Nantes, where there are 2,714 Airbnbs, more and more listings are popping up from residents "looking for a kind owner to host their family at their home for the weekend." Indeed, when natives return from vacation, they often wonder if the door they just opened is actually their own. Between the clatter of rolling suitcases on the cobblestones and photos of canal enthusiasts in neon vests in front of the cathedral, it’s not uncommon for a local resident to frequently feel... like a tourist.

Some cities in the Pays de la Loire are particularly feeling the impact of this surge. Nantes, for example, has seen an increase of 29%. La Baule-Escoublac and Angers follow this trend with 1,691 (+22%) and 1,297 (+35%) properties available on the platform respectively.
