Sunshine and City Breaks on the Menu
The people of Nantes will soon be able to fly to:
*Menorca, a wild gem of the Balearic Islands (Spain)
*Hurghada, by the Red Sea (Egypt), a dream diving spot
*Rhodes and Chania, two must-see destinations in Greece
And starting next winter: Madrid and Budapest, for cultural and festive getaways. It’s a wonderful boost for the airport's leading airline in terms of capacity.

A Strategic Rise to Power
With 1.8 million passengers transported in 2024 across 35 routes, EasyJet is now closely following Volotea (1.9 million and 44 routes). Together, the two airlines represent 50% of the air traffic in Nantes. And the battle is just beginning: EasyJet is already planning to strengthen its connectivity in France and Europe in the coming months.
Goal? Fly cleaner!
You can’t talk about aviation without mentioning the ecological transition. EasyJet is relying on its modernized fleet to reduce its impact:
*25% of its aircraft are Airbus Néo, 50% quieter and more economical
*Goal: 80% by 2034
*And more economical flying tools during approach and descent
Vinci Airports, the manager of Nantes-Atlantique, is also supporting this effort with 12 electric charging stations on the tarmac, allowing planes to cut their engines at a standstill.
And what about taxes in all this?
The rise in taxes has...cute; things in France aren’t looking great. For EasyJet, there’s no way to simply add to the bill: “Our prices change based on supply and demand. The increase isn’t automatically passed on,” explains Bertrand Godinot, director of EasyJet France.
